Aesthetics Education & Training
Suzi has been practicing aesthetics since 2010 and built her expertise through years of hands-on experience, high level training, and a commitment to staying at the forefront of modern aesthetic medicine. Her foundations began while working as an APRN with board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Gustavo Machado, where Refresh Med Spa first took shape before becoming her independent practice. She has completed extensive trainings with leading educators from Galderma and Allergan, including the AMI Master Course, and continues ongoing mentorship with nationally recognized injectors.
Suzi prioritizes lifelong learning and regularly attends major conferences such as ISPAN to stay current on evolving research and best practices. She also participated in Julie Bass Kaplan’s “Jubilant Head and Breakfast” cadaver anatomy immersion, a rare hands-on training that strengthened her knowledge of facial anatomy, vascular pathways, and safe injection techniques. In addition, she is part of a highly connected nationwide injector community, collaborating daily to share insights, troubleshoot cases, and stay aligned with the newest standards in the field.
CANS Certification
Suzi has been a Certified Aesthetic Nurse Specialist (CANS) since 2019, passing the rigorous exam on her first attempt. This respected credential reflects her advanced knowledge, clinical competency, and dedication to safe, ethical, evidence-based practice. Since 2021, she has also served as a Prollenium educator, teaching other injectors treatment planning, safety, and injection techniques.
Suzi’s Approach to Aesthetics
Rooted in evidence-based practice, Suzi does not chase trends and only offers treatments proven to be safe, effective, and truly valuable for her patients. She understands the importance of experience, judgment, and safety in achieving long term results and is well known for talking patients out of unnecessary treatments rather than recommending something they do not need. Her approach is honest, patient-centered, and always grounded in education, while her warm, lighthearted personality makes every appointment feel comfortable and uplifting.
